OREM UTAH– June 03, 2010 – The hip frozen yogurt franchise, Spoon Me, has begun spooning in Cleveland, Ohio with its first store, co-owned by Lynn Krause and Karri Russell, located at 30159 Detroit Rd. Westlake, OH 44145. Spoon Me is rapidly growing, with this new store making 11 open across Utah, Idaho, Canada, and now Ohio.

“We are excited to bring the community of Cleveland our amazing frozen yogurt and share our hip, fun-loving atmosphere,” said Brad Whitaker, CEO of Spoon Me. “I look forward to seeing the people embrace Spoon Me’s initiatives and lifestyle that our brand strives to create.”

The Cleveland location is now open Monday-Thursday from 11 A.M – 9 P.M., Friday-Saturday 11 A.M.- 11 P.M. and Sunday 12 P.M.- 8 P.M. Spoon Me is on track to continue growth across U.S. with more stores to open in 2010.

“We believe Spoon Me’s fun-loving vibe is a perfect fit for the Cleveland area,” said Lynn Krause, co-owner of the Cleveland Spoon Me. “The fresh culture, eco-friendly initiatives, and delicious product made it apparent that this was the right brand for us.”

Spoon Me’s three-fold mission to care for the body we live in, the people we live with, and the earth we live on is accomplished through the following initiatives:

Spoon Me loves the environment. Spoon Me is a green company that works hand-in-hand with several companies to ensure it does its part to maintain the environment. Many items customers use in Spoon Me stores are biodegradable—including the spoons, which are made of cornstarch.

Spoon Me loves your body. Spoon Me frozen yogurt and smoothies are made from all natural ingredients making it healthy, light and delicious. At only 83 calories per serving, Spoon Me frozen yogurt is fat free and contains no table sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Spoon Me loves its community. Instead of accepting tips, Spoon Me stores accept donations to a new local charity each month with its Keep the Change Charity program. Spoon Me also provides a community board for local and volunteer activities.

Franchises are available throughout North America. For more information visit www.SpoonMeFranchise.com

About Spoon Me
Based in Utah, Spoon Me is much more than a frozen yogurt joint—Spoon Me is an experience. Spoon Me loves your body and the core uses only all natural ingredients. Spoon Me loves the community and gives back through its Keep the Change Charity. Spoon Me is an exciting business to own and operate.

What is this “Name of the Day” thing, anyway? Since we’ve gotten plenty of questions just like this, here’s how it works:
Every day, we collect name requests from our Facebook fans. We take those names and make a big list. Every month, we put those names (in order of request, of course) into a calendar.
On the day that belongs to you, you can bring in a friend and get two half-sized yogurts for the price of one!
Spoon Me doesn’t care if you’re a Caitlin with a K instead of a C, or whether your name is Samantha or Samuel when the name is Sam.
We’ll even put those super unique names on the calendar, too. Each month (starting in May) we’ll have two unique name days with three names on each day.
If your name lands on a Sunday—some Spoon Me locations don’t spoon on Sundays—you can either spoon the Saturday before or the following Monday.
And don’t forget, Spoon Me fans spoon FREE on their birthdays.

Snow days and hot cocoa are great and all, but we could all use a little taste of sunshine in the dreary midwinter. So without further ado, Spoon Me has added both lemon and orange yogurt flavors to the menu. The lemon packs a zesty punch—it’s the perfect transformation of an ordinary sour lemon into a delicious indulgence (minus the guilt).

And just a quick disclaimer to all you orange-flavor haters: We’re not talking about that fake orange tasting tootsie-pop. We’re talking right off the tree, freshly squeezed, naturally delicious (my mouth is watering just thinking of it). And with these citrus sensations comes a few new smoothies.

But don’t take our word for it, taste them yourself, and let us know what you think. (Side note) Flavors that should be rolling out soon: pomegranate, strawberry, vanilla bean and milk chocolate.

As the weather warms up, watch for Spoon Me in the Tropics. The upcoming bold pallet of tropical deliciousness will whisk you away to the Caribbean as Bob Marley softly serenades your flavor fantasy. Okay maybe not, but it’s the next best thing to being there, right?

Happy Spooning!

What’s up Spooners? We’re excited to announce that we’ve moved into our new corporate office at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem, Utah. Things are still somewhat in a state of chaos as we are not completely settled in yet (hence the lack of updates). A few things we’re liking about the new place:

1. Saying our corporate office is on the golf course–it makes us feel cool and important-sounding

2. Spreading the joys of Spoon Me to more and more people

3. We can’t say that we mind the golfing perks

Spoon on and stay tuned…
